What a pleasant surprise! Dr. Anbalagan—he taught Anatomy to the generation of medical students at MGIMS until he left for Pondicherry in 2005—visited us this evening. A legendary teacher, he was one of the most sought-after teachers in Sevagram. His dexterous intelligence in the Anatomy lecture hall would keep the students spellbound; his ability to dance the chalk on the blackboard would keep them completely engaged. But what everybody remembers, even today is his humility, unassuming attitude, soft-spoken nature and down to earth approach to life.
And so, when we met, we went down memory lane- recalling fond incidents, funny anecdotes and the naïvety of the nineties.
