Dr. Srinivas Gokulnath (Srini) is a aerospace medicine specialist working with the Army in Nashik. But his true passion lies in pushing the limits of human endurance.
In 2017, Srini etched his name in the annals of cycling history, as he embarked on the formidable RAAM challenge. This gruelling race, renowned for its relentless demands, stretches over 3,000 miles (4,800 kilometres) from the west coast to the east coast of the United States. It’s a test of mind, body, and spirit that only the strongest dare to undertake.
For 11 days and 18 hours, Srini pedalled through a whirlwind of adversity, conquering sleep deprivation, fatigue, and extreme weather conditions. In his solitary journey, he faced moments of suffering, deprivation, loneliness, and hopelessness. Yet, fuelled by an unyielding determination and unwavering resilience, he pushed through, relentlessly propelling himself closer to the finish line.

Six years later, in June 2023, Srini is doing it again! All set to cycle 4,800 kilometersโbetween the two coasts of the USA.
As I track Srini, I’m thrilled to share that he has already covered an astounding 1,393 miles! He is defying all odds and riding strong in the epic race!
Picture him traversing the sun-soaked deserts of California, Arizona, and Utah, leaving behind the majestic peaks of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. At this very moment, he’s conquering the rolling plains of Kansas, with his sights set on the next milestone: Missouri.
And then, 1,600 miles separate him from the ultimate goalโthe finish line in Annapolis, Maryland.
Srini is pushing forward. We wholeheartedly believe in his ability to continue riding strong, surpassing every obstacle in his path, and crossing that finish line in Maryland.
