Novak Djokovic has always been my hero, and I have supported and cheered for him throughout his career. However, I faced a dilemma when he competed against Roger Federer, as I greatly admired Federer as well. It was always a mix of emotions when one of them emerged as the champion. While I also enjoyed Rafael Nadal’s breathtaking strokes, when it came to choosing between Nadal and Djokovic, I found myself leaning towards the latter.

Last night, another legend emerged on the tennis court. Carlos Alcaraz. Initially, it seemed like Novak would easily win, judging by his dominant performance in the first set. However, Carlos gathered his wit and unleashed spectacular tennis, refusing to be bogged down by Novak’s larger than life image on the grass court of the All England Club.

In the final set, Carlos outsmarted Novac and won the men’s singles Wimbledon 2023 championship.

A reminder that even legends eventually fade and are replaced by another legend.
