Ridhora. A small village, 40 km from Sevagram houses Panchdhara damโa tall reservoir dam that controls the flow of Panchdhara River. Today morning, before dawn broke, Ashwini Kalantri, Abhishek V. Raut and I began a 100- km ride. As we went past Pavnar and Seloo villages and decided almost impromptu to head for the dam, little did we anticipate that the overflowing dam and the vast expanse of water it held could be so breathtakingly beautiful. Villages around Wardha seem to have several little-known picnic sitesโRidhora dam is one such.
The water glinting in the morning sun pumped extra energy in our body as we completed what turned out to be a very tiring hundred- km bike ride.
